thin celebrities have long been held responsible for the pressure
on ordinary people to lose weight – now it would seem the
tables have turned and fat celebrities are being blamed for the
rising obesity epidemic.
Experts
say that tubby celebs such as “Gavin and Stacey’s”
James Corden and Ruth Jones are making obesity more socially acceptable
and “normal”.
The
profile of “larger” celebs has considerably risen
over the years, with names such as Dawn French, Jonny Vegas, Peter

recent report revealed that 23 per cent of Brits are now classed
as obese compared to just 11 per cent 10 years ago.
More
than 2,000 people took part in a nationwide survey in which researchers
found that 17 per cent of obese people refuse to consider taking
