can announce that it is only a few weeks remain until Paris becomes
the centre of the tennis world as it plays host to the ATP Masters
Series.
The
Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy, which is situated on the banks
of the River Seine opposite the Francois Mitterrand library and
within easy reach of the wide array of Paris
Hotels, is set to host the event between November 7th and
15th.
Capable
of housing up to 18,000 spectators, the venue stretches over 55,000
sq m and has played host to a wide range of different sporting
shows during its time.
With
a history dating back to 1986, the BNP Paribas Masters is part
of the 1000 series, which are the top nine ATP tour tennis tournaments
after the four Grand Slam events.
The
contest, whose former winners have included Boris Becker, Marat
Safin and Andre Agassi, sees competitors fight it out for a trophy
called le Filet du Temps - or the Net of Time - which was designed
by former French rugby union captain Jean-Pierre Rives.
Tickets
for the event are on sale now and are available in a range of
different packages. They vary in price depending on the desired
seating and the day of the event that will be attended. They start
at €13 (£11.94).
For
those heading to the tournament – take a look at the Hotel Paris page
which is a fully translated French page displaying all the hotels
available in Paris.
