Melbourne , FL November 6, 2009 - For the next two weeks, 15 Seconds of Fame (15SOF.com) is challenging Florida 's most talented students to show America the great singing and dancing talent which resides in the Sunshine state. For the next two weeks, (Monday, November 9 th thru Sunday, November 22nd) the website will showcase Florida's talent in a special contest with the top prize of $250 and national publicity. The winning student's school will receive a donation of $100. Interested students and parents should go to www.15sof.com and choose the contest category Florida 's Most Talented.

"For eight seasons, the producers of shows like American Idol have substantially influenced entertainment with a parade of cookie cutter pop stars. We've had enough. We're ready to try something new and show the country what Florida has to offer," said the site's founder John Bonaccorso.

Playing off the cliché "Everyone gets 15 minutes of fame", except giving each entry only "15 Seconds of Fame", the 15SOF captures the compelling nature of America's most popular contest shows like American Idol by having voters determine the contest winners.

"The web is too huge. Videos are too long. Time is too short. No one has 15 minutes to waste on boring stuff." said the company's founder John Bonaccorso. "We're boiling the traditional talent show down to just the highlights, the entertaining bits, and the good stuff."

At 15SOF.com, users compete in diverse contest categories spanning everything from Idol-esque singing and dancing to cutest baby contests. Anyone can upload, view and judge the 15 second long video clips. The most popular videos in the contest will win.
