HotelTravel.com's Formula 1 event guide moves to the Autodromo di Monza this week for one of the most fashionable events on the F 1 calendar. The Italian Grand Prix is traditionally one of the fastest races of the year, so buckle up and get ready for one wild ride

PHUKET, 9 September, 2010 HotelTravel.com's popular Formula 1 event guide moves to the Autodromo di Monza this week as the fastest show on four wheels gets ready to burn rubber for one of the season's marquee events, the Italian Grand Prix.

It is one of the oldest events in Formula 1, and the Monza Race Circuit is one of the sport's most historic venues, hosting many of F 1's most epic battles.

HotelTravel.com Chief Information Officer, Olivier Dombey, predicted this year's Italian Grand Prix could be one of the best races of 2010.

In recent years, top speeds at the Italian Grand Prix have exceeded 370kph. The higher the speed, the greater the excitement, especially for the hometown Scuderia Ferrari fans. Expect them to be out in full force supporting the 'Dancing Horse' with a sea of bright red.

According to Mr Dombey, another important motivation for attending the Italian Grand Prix is how easy it is to access the Monza Race Circuit from Milan, with the race venue just a stone's throw away from one of Europe's great cultural capitals.

It takes only 15 minutes by train, from Milan Central Railway station to reach the Monza Station (Stazione di Monza). There is also a free shuttle bus service from the Monza Train Station to the race circuit's Vedano Gate.

HotelTravel.com has also created incredible promotional deals for Milan hotels, with rates starting from as little as only EUR 35 per night.

Mr Dombey said: We are very excited about the remainder of the 2010 Formula 1 season. In the course of just a few short months this year the HotelTravel.com Formula 1 event guides have developed an impressive fan following, and in the process have become an important primary resource in the world of F 1.

After the conclusion of the Italian Grand Prix the focus returns to Asia as the excitement builds for both the constructors' and drivers' championships, he added.
