Press Release Body = SHAWNEE, KANSAS — (15 Apr 2004) Perceptive Software, Inc., today announced that SCF of Arizona, the state’s largest provider of workers' compensation insurance, selected ImageNow® document imaging, management and workflow software to complement the organization’s existing technology investments. Perceptive Software’s patented solution will provide the flexible, scalable and cost-effective integration options that SCF of Arizona requires.

“ImageNow seems to be unique in its ability to integrate easily with applications running on different platforms and in different modes,” said James Romaine, imaging administrator for SCF of Arizona. “We expect to reduce the cost of ownership compared to our current document imaging system.”

SCF of Arizona has developed a sophisticated, state-of-the-art technology infrastructure that supports the organization's 500 employees located across Arizona. With offices in Flagstaff, Lake Havasu City, Phoenix, Prescott, Show Low, Tucson and Yuma, SCF of Arizona provides workers’ compensation insurance and related
services to more than 54,000 employers statewide.

“We want to integrate our new line-of-business application with ImageNow in order to provide a seamless J2EE interface for our adjusters and service reps to perform their job duties,” said Romaine, who has worked with document imaging systems since
1990 and has implemented multiple systems.

Prior to selecting a replacement document imaging solution, SCF of Arizona developed a list of specific requirements that a system must deliver to support the organization’s claims and policy technology initiatives. Known for secure, intelligent investments over the organization’s 35 years of service, SCF of Arizona
also makes prudent technology investments. The following list includes the key prerequisites of the project:

More than 200,000 claims and policy documents need to be stored each month. The software must have the flexibility to run in a UNIX/HP-UX environment with an IBM® DB2 database.
SCF of Arizona employees statewide must have instant access to the documents. Thick client and browser interfaces must be offered to support future technology initiatives. The solution must integrate seamlessly with the new insurance application in
deployment. The product must be fully scalable allowing for effortless expansion into accounts payable, human resources and other departments.“ImageNow emerged as our technology of choice because of ease of implementation, cost, features and compatibility with our environment,” said Romaine. “We want to be
on a vendor platform that is dedicated to document imaging and that has the features and growth potential for our company's document storage needs in the future.”
