For three days at the end of June, the sprawling Bois de Boulogne on the edge of the West side of Paris will welcome Solidays, a festival of music and fun for all ages that encourages participants to join the fight to prevent the spread of AIDS.

Acts such as Mark Ronson and The Business International, Moby and the Klaxons will all grace the festival stage over the weekend, along with some of France's most well-known artists. Controversial former Libertines frontman Pete Doherty had been scheduled to appear, but his latest court proceedings have prevented him from being available.

The famous Hippodrome de Longchamp provides the venue, with guests able to access festivities either by taking the metro to Boulogne Jean Jaurès, the regular shuttle service from Porte Maillot train station or by car.

Campers can choose between the 'Zen' quiet area or the 'Zap' party zone, while there is a prize for the best decorated tent. There will be a bar, restaurant and shower facilities on site, as well as an area specifically designed for children.
