Press Release Body = Sydney, 2nd February 2005 – TASC have released SQL Delta version 3.0, a database tool that quickly analyses, compares as well as synchronizes structures and data. SQL Delta offers comprehensive, high-speed integration of data and structure comparison and synchronisation for SQL servers.

“Working with customer feedback as the focus we have made significant productivity improvements with the addition of a projects function and connection manager. The introduction of an off-line mode allows users to take a snap shot and export the database structure to a file and then reload the structure for later compare without the need to access their database server. Version 3.0 of SQL Delta also offers increased support for extended database features such as full text catalogues and
database diagram copying.” – Jay Bailey, Product Manager

Version 3.0 of SQL Delta offers the following new features and improvements and is available now (www.sqldelta.com);

PROJECTS
A project manager feature has been introduced to allow the saving of connection and option settings. The project manager feature significantly reduces the number of keystrokes or mouse clicks required to select and compare databases. The tables that have been selected for data compare are also saved as part of the project streamlining the data compare process.

CONNECTION MANAGER
SQL Delta is now capable of storing common connection details into a connection manager to simplify and expedite the database selection process. The connection manager allows the user to choose a server and database from a list of friendly
connection names. Even the passwords are saved with the connection details, in an encrypted format. Of course it still remains possible to “manually” connect to a database server.

SNAPSHOTS & OFFLINE COMPARISONS
The introduction of off-line mode enables users to take a snap shot and export the database structure to a file and then re-load the structure for later compare without the need to access their database server.

DATABASE DIAGRAM COPYING
SQL Delta now has the ability for users to move database diagrams between databases and will detect any diagrammatic changes and enable synchronization of the diagrams.
FULL TEXT CATALOGUES & SUPPORT FOR CASE SENSITIVE STRUCTURE COMPARISONS The structure compare process has been improved to include support for full text catalogues, case sensitive structures and better support for the ignore index and constraint names options.

DATA COMPARE IMPROVEMENTS
There are notable changes and improvements to the data synchronization process. SQL Delta will now produce a text data synchronization script, which can either be saved or implemented immediately. Greater control over the synchronization process is
therefore provided as well as enabling an improved export mechanism.
