London Design Festival Opening on September 15th

Citywide project to run for more than a week, with London hotels offering discounts near venues.

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- This year's London Design Festival is to run from Sep 15-23, with hundreds of events taking place at locations across the capital, including galleries, shops, universities and design agencies.

The nine day festival will include talks, competitions and exhibitions, in an all-encompassing celebration of the design industry, covering textiles, architecture, fashion, retail, typography, manufacturing, interior design and photography.

Related events are happening all over London, but much of the action will take place at the big cultural centres such as the Southbank Centre and St. Paul's Cathredral. The Victoria & Albert Museum will be at the heart of the festival, and a number of conveniently located London hotels, in conjunction with, are offering significant discounts on rooms.

Among the deals on offer, the Ampersand Hotel on Harrington Road has announced availability on double rooms at a 47% discount. The reduced rate brings the cost of a night's stay down to only £135. The Ampersand is set to open on at the end of August and already looks certain to be a fittingly stylish base for anyone in town for the Design Festival. This sophisticated boutique hotel is less than five minutes walk from the V & A.

Five minutes in the other direction is the Fifty Four Boutique Hotel on Queen's Gate, which is offering double rooms from £66 per night – a 93% discount on the usual rate. Both London hotels featured here must be booked via in order to take advantage of the discounts.
