September 26, 2012, 8:15 am -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- The BFI 56 th London Film Festival is taking to London's Southbank for 12 days of film screenings, workshops and live Q&As from 10-21 October. Ticket prices range from £7 for weekday matinees to £25 for opening and closing night galas. Every year the festival attracts both heavyweight Hollywood names and indie film makers just starting out on their cinematic careers. The festival is particularly highly praised for its dedication to foreign language, documentary and animated films.
There will be around 200 features and 100 shorts including world premiers, including special screenings of The Artist, We Need to Talk about Kevin and a selection of British films such as Dreams of a Life. The festival will close with the European premier of Great Expectations.
