-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- The annual New Year's Eve fireworks display is returning this year, and promises to be bigger than ever. The ten-minute display, with the London Eye as its centerpiece, can be seen from all over central London, with prime views available from Embankment and Waterloo Bridge. Spectators are advised to find a spot well before midnight to get the best view.

On the following day, the capital celebrates its 26th New Year's Day Parade, featuring more than 10,000 performers from 20 countries. The parade kicks off at the Ritz Hotel and finished three hours and two miles later at Parliament Square. Thirty-three floats – one from each London borough – will take part, as well as clowns, performance artists and marching bands. Between the two events, some 500,000 revellers are expected to attend.
