Chef Lockard, who brings 20 years of culinary expertise and service to New York Central, will oversee the restaurant’s culinary team and the hotel’s in-room dining operations. He will also create seasonal menus for the bar and kitchen that add an inventive twist to dining in NYC.
Lockard joins the New York Central team with an impressive range of culinary experience, including positions with such exclusive Manhattan restaurants as Aureole, Le Cirque, Peacock Alley, and Métrazur. Most recently he was Executive Chef for the US Open where he managed the world-renowned tournament’s entire dining program comprising five restaurants, 60 concession stands and 100 suites. Prior to his work with acclaimed New York restaurants, Chef Lockard expanded his culinary skills in Germany and at the famous Restaurant Troisgros in Roanne, France. Lockard is also a published author. In his book, “A Cook’s Book: Food Cost,” the Manhattan chef offers economic insights to chefs on the value of food cost control. Lockard is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.
