The indie four-piece celebrate their return to form with a gig at London’s huge Earl’s Court arena

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- For a while it seemed as if Bloc Party were never going to resurface. After three albums together and some huge rafts of touring, the band went on a prolonged hiatus, which finally came to an end in late 2011.

After the 2012 release of their fourth studio album, Four (aptly marking the length of time between this and their previous album, the number of Bloc Party members, and the album count of the band), Bloc Party seem to be back in the limelight.

And the public are happy to have them. With the latest album garnering favourable reviews from fans and critics alike, with the BBC stating that "Bloc Party sounds full of potential where just four years ago they sounded depleted. Indeed, Four may be 2012's most exciting guitar album".

High praise indeed for a band that many thought were done and dusted. And to prove their resilience, the four piece are on stage again, with a huge gig at London's Earl's Court on Friday 22nd February.
