LondonTown.com announces reduced London hotel rates for the duration of the run

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- For one week only, the London Coliseum is to stage the UK premiere of the Birmingham Royal Ballet's production of Aladdin. Running from 20th 24th March at one of the capital's most distinguished venues, LondonTown.com has announced a selection of specially discounted rates for the duration of the run for those looking for cheap London hotels in the area.

Aladdin was first transformed for the ballet world for the National Ballet of Japan, and has been transformed once more for Birmingham Royal Ballet by noted choreographer David Bintley. The Royal Ballet School-trained dancer made his choreography debut in 1978, going on to become resident choreographer of The Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden...

Currently working his magic as artistic director of the Birmingham Royal Ballet and co-artistic director of the New National Theatre Tokyo, Bintley has created this version of the Aladdin story specifically for a UK audience.

For this unique performance, the much-loved Aladdin story returns to its original narrative, drawing out its roots in ancient Chinese stories and the Arabian Tales of 1001 Nights. With music by London Philharmonic Orchestra conductor and composer Carl Davis, audiences will have the chance to experience the dramatic tale of love, sorcery and power in an equally dramatic setting.

The London Coliseum, with its spinning globe signage, is a true London landmark. First opened in 1904 as a venue for variety shows, today it stands as the visually striking home of the English National Opera. Just a stone's throw from Trafalgar Square, it is suitably located in the heart of London's theatre district, on St. Martin's Lane.

Birmingham Royal Ballet's Aladdin runs from 20th 24th March, with tickets on sale now from £10 - £65. To coincide with this unique performance in the heart of the capital, LondonTown.com has announced special reduced rates in partnership with a selection of hotels in the area.

Just two minutes from the London Coliseum, the Guoman at Charing Cross is offering a 50% discount to those booking via LondonTown.com, with executive double rooms available at this Grade II listed Victorian hotel from just £195.

Some of London's most luxurious hotels are offering reduced rates too, including the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire Hotel at Leicester Square. Overlooking the Square famed for hosting London's movie premieres, double rooms are available from £290 a discount of 22% for LondonTown.com customers. http://www.LondonTown.com
