Irish rockers continue blazing a trail to world domination, as LondonTown.com offer discounted London hotels close to O2 Arena.

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- For two nights only, Irish band The Script will bring their brand of alternative rock to London, with a brace of shows at the O2 Arena later this month. The shows form part of the group's world tour, which the band are embarking on to support their third album, entitled simply #3.

The Dublin trio has been a going concern for more than ten years. But it took until 2008 for them to find mainstream success with their debut album, The Script. Since then, they have collaborated with stars including will.i.am, U2, Take That and Paul McCartney, and played to an ecstatic and growing fan base in stadiums around the world.

The new tour sees the band take in cities across the UK, before setting out across the globe to promote the album. So far, UK dates include Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Sheffield, Birmingham, Cardiff, Brighton and the Isle of Wight (for the island's eponymous festival).

The O2 gigs will take place on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd March. Tickets start from £29.50, and doors open at 6.30pm. Events and booking website LondonTown.com has announced details of discounted London hotels in the area, all of them close to the O2 Arena. The discounts are available exclusively through LondonTown.com.

One of the participating London hotels is the Ibis London Docklands. A budget chain hotel around ten minutes' walk from the O2, the Ibis is offering a reduced rate for those booking now through LondonTown.com. The 72% discount brings the already-reasonable room rate down to just £54 per night.

The Radisson Blu Edwardian New Providence Wharf ups the ante slightly on the comfort stakes, but is nearly as affordable as the Ibis when taking into account the discount. When booking through LondonTown.com, double rooms are available at a 53% discount. The reduced rate makes the cost of a night's stay only £175. Less than fifteen minutes' walk from the O2.

The Holiday Inn Express at Greenwich, also around fifteen minutes' walk from the gig, is offering double rooms at a 42% discount, bringing the cost of a night's stay down to just £121.

All featured London hotels are only available at the discounted rates when booking through LondonTown.com. Visit the site for more information on The Script at the O2 Arena, and to find more discounted London hotels.
