July 22, 2013, 5:40 am -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- North Valley newspaper, Sonoran News, published its second Patriot Pride Supplement in its latest issue, honoring the nation's servicemen and women, past, present, and future. In addition, as the country celebrates her independence this July, the news organization will be hosting a food drive for Packages From Home, which will send food overseas to the troops serving in the Middle East.
Local businesses will act as donation locations. These businesses include Sanderson Ford, Sanderson Lincoln, Scottsdale Fire Department, Rural/Metro Fire Department, Wilhelm Automotive, Airpark Collision, and Parkway Bank. Sanderson Ford and Sanderson Lincoln will be going the extra mile by providing donation boxes, as well as fliers, and by transporting all food collected throughout July.
Residents who personally know someone protecting the country overseas may go online at http://packagesfromhome.org to request a package for their loved ones.
