San Jose, CA, December 12, 2013, 7:31 am -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- GlobalLogic announced today that it has become a member of the GENIVI Alliance, a non-profit industry alliance committed to driving the broad adoption of an in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) open source development platform. The organization works to achieve this mission by aligning automotive OEM requirements and delivering specifications, reference implementations, and certification programs that form a consistent basis for further open source and ISV development. GENIVI's founding members include BMW Group, Wind River, Intel, GM, PSA, Delphi, Magneti-Marelli, and Visteon.
As a GENIVI Alliance member, GlobalLogic will be able to leverage GENIVI's specification and implementation guidelines to bring sophisticated open source IVI products to market faster. GENIVI's insights have significantly enhanced our own efforts in the automotive IVI space, said Alex Agizm, CTO Embedded Systems, GlobalLogic.
