DJ Zink cites as main artistic influences some of the heaviest hitters of the post-2000 EDM scene, such as Avicii, Hardwell, Tiësto and Nicky Romero. DJ Zink has been paying attention to sound for many years.
“From a very young age,” he writes of his musical beginnings, “passion for music was in the blood. After years of practice and experience, I decided to get into original track production.”
DJ Zink was born and raised in West Bengal, India, as Asim Poddar. He began DJing in 2009, and soon after started performing at popular nightclubs. Having learned the fundamentals of studio music production, DJ Zink began training others in the art in 2011. “Psychic Progression” is DJ Zink's first official release.
