Melbourne, -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Australian social enterprise, Thankyou Water Group, today announced it has reached a significant milestone, having now provided $1 million worth of funding for safe water, food and hygiene projects in developing nations.

Thankyou Water, Thankyou Food and Thankyou Body Care ranges -- which arrived on supermarket shelves late last year -- have now helped:

• 73,340 people receive safe water access;
• 67,227 people with health and hygiene training; and
• 6865 people have access to short-term food aid and long-term food security.

The social enterprise, which exists solely for the purpose of funding life-changing solutions for those who need them most, has experienced major growth in the last year, expanding its bottled water range to include successful food and body care products, and landing major deals with supermarket giants Coles and Woolworths.

Thankyou Group co-founder and MD Daniel Flynn, who won the 2014 Victorian Young Australian of the Year, thanked everyday Australians for making the switch to Thankyou products and joining a “life-changing” social movement.

“Each day, there are more and more Aussies realising that they can make a genuine difference to the lives of those less fortunate, simply by purchasing Thankyou products instead of their usual brands of muesli bars, hand creams, cereals and the like,” Flynn said.

“We’re very grateful to the tens of thousands of Australians who have already gotten behind the Thankyou brand and embraced our ever expanding product range. It’s their support that enables us to fund so many vital aid and development projects.

“The impact this funding is having on communities in places like Myanmar, Kenya and Cambodia is incredible. But as awesome as having given this first million dollars is, it's even more exciting to know that this is just the beginning -- there is so much more work we want to do, and so many more people we want to help.

“Impact is what drives us to keep growing Thankyou. And with Australia’s help, we can continue making a bigger and bigger impact -- each week, each month and each year.
