2022Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 29, 2014 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Most fire outbreaks are due to the lack of following safety measures or ignorance about fire safety protocols. Early this year, a major fire outbreak saw 20 warehouses destroyed in the Sharjah Industrial Area; and until a couple of days ago, another incident near the Sharjah-Dubai border saw Civil Defence authorities from Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman trying to battle a fire outbreak for 8 hours. Health and safety concerns arising due to fire outbreaks are a major concern for businesses and industry.
Focusing on the functionality of fire safety benchmarks in the Middle East, Fleming Gulf is back with the 5th edition of the Middle East FireSafe Conference, one of its signature series and leading fire safety events in the region. Like it has over the past 4 years, the conference this year is being held with the support of the Directorate General of Civil Defence – Dubai and will take place on the 20th to 22nd October 2014 in Dubai, UAE. Where day one of the forum will delve into the 'Essence of Fire Safety Dynamics' with topics like Fire Code Uniformity, Key Steps to Fire Safety Analysis, Management Strategies and Fire Safety Systems, day two will look into the 'Genres of Fire Safety' ranging from oil & gas, transport, construction and utilities sectors. Featuring a case study on the FIFA World Cup 2014 Fire Safety Strategy, workshops conducted will look into the inspection and maintenance of fire equipment and emergency response planning and execution. The 2013 FireSafe event was held under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency Major General Rashid Thani Al Matroushi and focused on the issues with a casual attitude towards fire and to implement an enhanced fire safety strategy.
