Ensenada, Mexico, July 07, 2014 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- The 46th edition of the Tecate SCORE Baja 500 brought more than 200 desert racers and thousands more off-road enthusiast spectators to Ensenada for the 447.86 mile loop across Baja’s rugged terrain. The classic desert race, organized by SCORE International Off-Road Racing, was held June 7-8 and will air on CBS Sports Network July 20 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT. Round three of the five-race SCORE World Desert Championship, the race pitted car, truck, UTV, motorcycle and ATV racers hailing from 20 U.S. states and 15 countries.
Driver Bryce Menzies of Las Vegas, Nev. came out on top of the Baja 500, with a finishing time of 8:51:50 and an average speed of 50.56 miles per hour. Hotel Coral and Marian Guest B.J. Baldwin finished in fourth place with a final time of 9:04:58. Other Baja 500 racers and crew who stayed at the Hotel Coral included the Herbst Motorsports, Vildósola Racing and Green Army Motorsports teams.

With a challenging desert course that was more than 400 miles long, 126 out of the 232 competitors finished the race. Baja 500 participants and crew celebrated informally at the Marina Bar and Grill after the conclusion of the competition.
