Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Prasad said that “we are living in exponential times and just as other things, the way training is conducted is also changing. In 2005, 70% of the training was done through traditional methods but the percentage is declining every year, today it is only about 50%. So the industry cannot be oblivious of the fact that digital technologies are driving the way we conduct our day to day operations and training as well. As a result, auto manufacturers need to gear themselves to keep pace with the changing training needs”.
In this context, he introduced the fundamental concepts of eLearning – content, design & development and technology, explained how organizations can source content, manage design & development, and deliver quality eLearning courses through technology. The response from the audience was very encouraging, who raised a number of interesting and relevant questions.
