Chennai, India, August 14, 2014 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Kaar Arakattalai, the CSR wing under the aegis of Kaar Technologies, recently launched a first of its kind Mentorship program as part of its 5th Annual day celebrations. During the celebrations, the foundation rolled out more than Rs. 15, 00,000 for 170 students who attended the event with their parents. The function was presided by Mr. U Sagayam, IAS, Managing Director, Co-optex; Mr. Kizhambur Sanakrasubramanian, Editor of Kalaimagal magazine, Dr. Joice Thilagam alongside management trustees.
Kaar believes that it takes more than just financial assistance to motivate students to pursue their dreams. The prime motive of this Mentorship program is to encourage and empower students by introducing them to the concept of permanent buddy system. Under this system, each student will be assigned with a mentor, a Kaar volunteer, who will constantly keep in touch with them and offer guidance for their holistic development.
With this continuous Mentorship initiative, Kaar aims at helping students overcome peer pressure at college and come out with flying colours. Sponsoring 210 students for education since inception, Kaar Arakattalai strongly deems that students will be highly motivated by this mentorship program. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) undergirds Kaar’s very existence. This is a critical aspect of Kaar’s value creation endeavour.
