Zikmusic ltd launches the purpose-built fully portable sheet music tablet reader

Nottingham, England, September 25, 2014 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- New company Zikmusic ltd are pleased to announce that their portable sheet music tablet reader - the zik - will be launched from 22nd September 2014, exclusively through crowdfunding platform Indiegogo.

The company has designed this reader - to encapsulate a truer reading environment for all contemporary and classical musicians. The lightweight, slim and portable device features a simple design, touch screen control, touch screen page turning and an LED screen, and is designed to up to a 22" display of crystal clear sheet music in a double open page format. The zik is powered via a battery that can be charged via mains power, and allows for up to 4 hours of screen time: perfect for any pianist, guitarist or violinist and for any type of practice.

Zikmusic ltd and the zik are the brainchild of engineer Martin Smith BEng MSc, who began researching the possibility of such a device back in 2010. While the company is still relatively new, Zikmusic have created an expert team that includes technical designers, independent advisors to the Bosch group of companies and dedicated production lines in Mysore, India. Renowned international musicians have also been involved in the design and creation of the zik d, in order to ensure that the device is as useful as possible.

The zik will be launched via crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, which allows new start-ups to showcase themselves and their products, and to reach their investment targets through public or business donations.

The Zikmusic ltd crowdfunding campaign will take place between September 22nd and October 31st 2014, and will provide detailed information about the zik , an insight into Zikmusic ltd and - most importantly - will allow members of the public to pre-order the zik . The first run of zik readers are available via the Indiegogo campaign and will come with all of the accessories needed to get started, along with other free goodies as a thank you to those who are first to order.
