New York, NY, January 30, 2015 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Upscale Brazilian steakhouse, Texas de Brazil, (http://www.texasdebrazil.com/), brought a full Boteca Brazil to New York City with its “Taste of Brazil” event on Friday, January 23rd. The first floor of the restaurant, located at 1011 Third Avenue, was transformed into a “comida de boteco,” for NYC’s most prominent media and government members such as Food Network Members, People Magazine, Diplomats from the Brazilian Consulate, and more. Guests enjoyed delicious Brazilian appetizers, Caipirinhas, and beer, while being transported from New York City to the lively energy of Rio de Janeiro. The menu for the evening was curated by Texas de Brazil’s Culinary Director Evandro Caregnato featured items such as bolinho de bacalhau (cod fish fritters), pastel de camarao (shrimp empanadas), torresmo com farofa (pork belly with yucca flour) and calabreza acebolada (chorizo with onions). The open bar included signature Caipirinhas, select Brazilian beers, and an elaborate wine selction.
“Texas de Brazil is fairly new to New York City, and while we regularly showcase our Brazilian culture with our menu of meats and fresh gourmet items, we were thrilled to introduce unique items that resonate with our country, particularly during this special evening with our guests,” States Texas de Brazil COO, Salim Asrawi. “The event provided guests insight to the mood and culture of our company, drinks and great food all within a festive Brazilian atmosphere.”
Texas de Brazil, a continuous fine dining experience, is known for its 16 various cuts of meat including beef, lamb, pork, chicken and sausage carved tableside by the restaurant’s gauchos, a fresh gourmet salad area featuring more than 50 fresh and delicious items including imported cheeses, charcuterie, Brazilian black beans, roasted vegetables, an award-winning wine list, and decadent desserts. Guests use red and green cards to indicate when they’d like to sample cuts of meat, and when they need a moment to enjoy their feast.
