Paw Paw, Michigan, August 6, 2015 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- RNS Packaging’s founder, Rich Daniels, patented FunPak Packing Bones, non-static, non-toxic, biodegradable loose fill packaging in the shape of dog bones three years ago. Since then the Packing Bones have been used by major pet supply distributors and shipped in tens of thousands of boxes all over the world.

The addition of new employees will allow RNS to increase its market share among pet wholesalers and other online retailers. Later this year, RNS will release FunPak Packing Hearts and Packing Shamrocks to be sold in the gift wrap aisle as an alternative to tissue paper and shredded filler. The company will also begin custom designing FunPak in the shape of businesses’ logos.

“There is nowhere I’d rather run a business than Southwest Michigan,” said Daniels. “I just wanted to make packaging fun and safe for pets, people, and the planet, now I’m able to create jobs and grow the company I love.”
The Revolving Loan Fund is administered by the Van Buren County Economic Development Corporation with help from Kinexus. According to Kinexus Business Consultant, Jeff Hannan, “The RLF program is an excellent tool for lenders to assist their customers by filling the gap between a financial request and what the lender’s underwriting guidelines can support.”

The funds are federal Community Development Block Grant dollars handed down by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation to help small businesses start and grow in local communities.

“The relocation of RNS Packaging Corporation to Paw Paw is the type of economic activity the RLF program was established to promote,” said Randall Peat, chairman of the Van Buren County Economic Development Corporation.
