Blueshield of CA Vice President and Controller, Emmalee Noble, stated “The Executive Council recently approved two new work practice changes that will save the company nearly $500,000 annually. These changes will impact how we order office supplies and how we manage our cell phone costs.”

Blueshield of CA selected the web-based Puridiom solution to control purchases using the Catalog Punch-out, particularly with Office Max. According to their purchase contract, Blueshield of CA negotiated substantial discounts in exchange for pooling
company-wide purchases from approximately 300 approved office supply items. Funneling their purchases to an approved set of office items merited the savings discount.

Puridiom’s advantage is the ease of access and intuitiveness of the application. End-Users simply select their items from the Office Max On-Line Catalog and ‘check out’ their items back into Puridiom. Puridiom then uses cxml technology to place the
