Released on = October 1, 2005, 6:10 am

Press Release Author = Cindy Russell - 9Seconds

Industry = Automotive

Press Release Summary = Rockabilly is the earliest form of rock and roll as a distinct style of music. It is a fusion of blues, hillbilly boogie, bluegrass music and country music, and its origins lie in the American South. Now it has a Tribute Chopper to match its reputation.

Press Release Body = Tampa, FL - Like the music it represents, the Rockabilly Tribute chopper is as distinctive and stylish as the artist famous for the blend of sounds that make up Rockabilly. Recently debuted at the Seminole Hardrock Bike Fest in Tampa, by world renowned bike builder, Alan Bernard of Santiago Chopper, the
chopper is a fusion of what makes Rockabilly one of the oldest forms of Rock-N-Roll.

The bike is also a tribute to the old school of "Bobber" custom motorcycles popular in the 1950s and 1960s around the same time Rockabilly was in its heyday. It incorporates details like parts of a Grestch Guitar, an old style microphone and memorabilia from some of the best performers of the original Rockabilly sound. It captures the attention of a crowd wherever it goes, winning several “Best in Show” awards, the bike is sure to bring you back to the good ole days.

Also known as the “Bobber King”, Bernard has been building custom bikes for as long as he can remember. Originally from France, his family was building bikes long before it was the cool thing to do. As a Rockabilly music fanatic, Bernard fell in love with the America of the 50’s and likes to bring the past into the present. He still remembers the day he saw the movie, The Wild One, with Marlon Brando. So much so, he built a tribute bike aptly named, “The Wild One”.

Bernard has been featured in industry magazines all over the globe and began his shop in Tampa approximately three years ago. One of the major differences in a Santiago Chopper is they are designed to meet the tougher European TUV standards.“My choppers are one of a kind and cannot be duplicated”, says Bernard. “I never build the same custom twice and I am committed to bring my customers the highest
quality chopper in the market today”. Unlike a lot of builders, Bernard builds his choppers completely from scratch by beginning with his very own designed frames manufactured in Europe in the Santiago Chopper brand name.

Santiago Chopper is fast becoming legendary in the US and is taking on the biker world by storm by winning top honors at numerous bike shows including Sturgis and Easyrider shows, respectively. The Rockabilly Tribute is a fine example of the craftsmanship put into each Santiago Chopper. People that see the chopper multiple
times remark that there is so much detail that they see something new every time. Santiago Chopper and the “Rockabilly Tribute” will be featured at the upcoming Atlantic City Chopperfest October 7-9 and October 20-23 at Biketoberfest in Daytona. Don’t miss the chance to see art in motion and stop in to see the “Bobber King”.
