Press Release Body = Within the framework of the official presidential visit to Prague, President Václav Klaus visited the headquarters of the company 2N TELEKOMUNIKACE a.s. Accompanied by the representatives of 2N management, he was acquainted with the history and prospects of this leading Czech manufacturer and
exporter of telecommunications technology. After being welcomed at 2N, the President attended the gala opening of a new 2N building (so called DVAN), which was also the site of a brief meeting with
employees. This was launched by Chairman of the 2N Board of Directors Mr. Miroslav Hofman, who introduced the company’s new headquarters, a modern building in the DVAN compound where a brief presentation of the company was made. This was followed by a
tour of the production factory and foreign trade centre, where the President had an opportunity to speak with the representatives of the individual departments. Over a map of over 130 world countries to which 2N sends its exports, the Sales Director explained how 2N promotes itself on foreign markets. He also mentioned the current success at the exposition in Italy, where there has been a great response to the company’s new product, the Netstar exchange.
Apart from the company’s export activities, the President and his wife were particularly interested in its plans. According to the ventures introduced, the company’s performance should register substantial growth by the year 2008. The President made positive statements about 2N’s activities on foreign markets and the promotion of the good reputation of the Czech Republic abroad. On this occasion,
Miroslav Hofman said: “The President’s visit is an immense reward for years of work and a confirmation of his interest in the success of Czech companies on world markets. This is one of the things I consider crucial for the further development of the Czech economy and for the future of 2N.”
