and fast-paced professional life, but when he needs some "down time" he grabs a
camera and hikes his way back to nature, and a renewed spirit. Since 2004, Oachs has
been actively pursuing nature and wildlife photography as a pretty serious hobby,
having captured some breathtaking and exceptional moments on film in places like the
Sierra Nevadas, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Banff, Katmai Alaska National
Park, Paris, France and Amsterdam.

Stephen began posting his first serious photos at pbase.com several years ago, where
he still maintains an active presence within that photo community. He has found many
great tips and fellow photographers through PBase. However, being a skilled Web
developer and programmer for many years, Stephen decided to build an online gallery
of his photographic adventures, and showcase his favorite photographs, as well as
share his experiences in a delightful and entertaining journal format. Though his
site was originally for family and friends to enjoy, it all grew quickly into a
larger proposition, as more people discovered his work and wanted to know more...and
see more. Given that photography and nature are two things he's very passionate
