* Simon Baker - branch director: Simon has been promoted to head up a team of 15 trade credit insurance experts who help Midlands companies protect themselves from bad debt as a result of insolvency. A credit expert in the food and drink sector, Simon joined Aon in 1986 and was previously a regional sales director. He joined from Export Credits Guarantee Department where his credit insurance career began in 1975. His experience includes claims, country debt rescheduling and HR. * Mark Crawford - broking director for the central region: Mark is responsible for building insurer relationships in Birmingham and maintaining broking standards to arrange the widest coverage and competitive premiums for Midlands companies. He has over 22 years experience in the servicing mid to large sized clients, using his technical expertise as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Insurance. Mark rejoins Aon from Cradley Heath insurance broker Footman James, now an Aon company, where he was commercial director. He is also a committee member of the British Insurance Brokers Association in the West Midlands. * Andrew Callis - sales development manager, Aon Consulting: With a career spanning nearly 20 years in the corporate pensions market, Andrew will be responsible for supporting employers and pension scheme trustees with the difficult issues they currently face and for promoting Aon's extensive range of services across the Midlands business community. His experience covers the broad range of consultancy services, including pension scheme restructuring, corporate transactions and communications. Andrew joins Aon from business advisers, Baker Tilly, where he was a regional director for its employee benefits group and his appointment forms part of the continued expansion of Aon Consulting in the Midlands.
