Release Body: Stena Line invites passengers to bring their hot dogs
and cool canines to Holland by ferry to take part in continental
dog shows.
Departing
from Harwich twice daily the Stena Hollandica and Stena Britannica
take Stena
Line passengers on a smooth crossing to the Hook of Holland
in 6 hours and 15 minutes. Located under an hour and a half from
the Hook of Holland, Hertogenbosch is one of the best places to
go for dog shows in Holland whilst Amsterdam, also under an hour
and half from the Hook of Holland, is hosting the established Winnershow,
which has been going strong since the 19th century.
Across
the last week-end in November the Europaplein in Amsterdam will
be hosting the 118th Winnershow where dogs of all shapes, sizes
and ages will be paraded around the arena in the hope of winning
one of Winnershow’s prestigious accolades.
In
December the Branbanthallen is holding the 15th bi-annual Molosser
breed dog show. This event has been the main show for Molosser breeds,
such as bulldogs and boxers, since 1979.
Holidaymakers
and dog devotees can watch the pooches being judged in categories
such as the best baby in the show, the best puppy in the show, and
the best veteran in the show as they parade around the ring of honour.
Stena
Line offers comfortable kennel services for pets onboard the Stena
Britannica and Stena Hollandica on the Harwich
- Hook of Holland route. The pet area is in a quiet area of
the vessel to ensure pets remain calm and tranquil during the crossing.
Passengers can also enjoy a leisurely crossing taking advantage
of the new onboard facilities on these newly refurbished ferries.
Guests
can catch up on some sleep in the completely refurbished cabins,
each featuring high quality Dux mattresses and en-suite bathroom
facilities. Comfort Class and Captain Class cabins feature plasma
screen televisions and minibars filled with complimentary snacks
and beverages. Passengers could choose to head to the onboard cinema
to watch the latest Hollywood blockbuster, browse for a bargain
at the onboard shop or indulge in something delicious to eat at
one of the two onboard eateries, Food City and Metropolitan.
Whether attending the show for a bit of fun as a spectator or entering
a dog in a competition, Stena Line offers the ideal travel solution
for both traveller and their furry companion from £10 per
dog each way.
