Major Outsourcer Contract with HP Services Establishes New Distribution Channel, newScale RequestCenter® In Production Today On Over 500,000 User Desktops

FOSTER CITY, Calif., August 3, 2004 - newScale®, Inc., the market leader in service delivery management software, today announced that during its fiscal year ended June 30, 2004, the company doubled its number of enterprise customers, more than doubled the number of users in production, and signed a distribution contract with top-five global IT outsourcer, HP Services. In addition, newScale announced that more than 600 services from its service catalogs are currently in use at customer sites.

In the past twelve months, newScale signed several million dollar plus software license contracts with brand-name Global 2000 customers – more than half of the new contracts were with companies in the Fortune 100.
