The August 1st, 2010 performance at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is part of Swart’s year-long celebration of two decades on stage. He started out in 1990 with the Valient Swart Band and quickly moved from playing in obscurity to being a nationally recognised star.

Swart is now one of South Africa’s best known Afrikaans folk singer-songwriters, having produced more than a dozen albums and making appearances in numerous television series.
