Pinflap Semi-Finalist In Texas Songwriting Competition

The soulful song “Forever Begins” has taken local Plano musician, Pinflap, to the semi Finals of the Texas Songwriting Competition

Plano, Texas, 28 October 2010 : Singer/songwriter Pinflap (Gregory Wooldridge) from Plano, Texas is one of 12 semi-finalists performing live in the Texas songwriting competition at the 2010 Texas Independent Music Expo, Dallas on Nov 5-6.

Pinflap will be performing his hit song ‘ forever begins' Live from 7.30pm on Nov 5 at the Music Expo which is being staged at Sons of Hermann Hall, Dallas.

Pinflap has been writing music for 28 years and performing in a variety of bands before embarking on a solo career. Best known for playing bass and later acoustic rhythm for the Cadillac Cowboys from 1991-97. More recently Pinflap has been carving out a successful solo career as a singer/songwriter and an acoustic guitarist.

Pinflap credits Lindsey Buckingham, James Taylor and Ian Anderson, as musicians who inspired his career. Having transitioned from Bass to Acoustic Pinflap never picked up a guitar pick. His unique sound partially attributed to the fact that he never uses a guitar pick - ever. His music style is hauntingly beautiful and simplistic but yet it is complex if not impossible to emulate.

Forever Begins will feature on Pinflap's next CD due for release in early 2011. Pinflap 2 his self titled CD is still available at all major e-retailers.

Pinflap will also be appearing live at Dunn Bros Coffee house, Addison from 7-10pm on Dec 14, 2010 with internationally acclaimed Damien Cripps from the Australian Damien Cripps Band.
