The annual Hua Hin Thai Cultural Association Festival will be held on the 10th of December 2010 at the Pone King Phet public park.

This event has been running for six years, since 2004, with the aim of the festival being to preserve and promote Thai culture and customs.

The event is supported by the Hua Hin Municipality and during the festival students from the local schools and universities will perform traditional Thai dances and music. There will also be a fashion show promoting Thai dresses.

The Hua Hin Thai Cultural Association runs a variety of projects and also assists students with gaining their qualifications, finding a job and even gives them help to market their locally produced goods.

At the moment the association is looking for funding to continue their good works.

Lek Boonlert, Head of Marketing at DirectRooms.com, said: “If you are thinking of visiting Hua Hin for this festival make sure that you take the time to enjoy the old world charm of the area and explore the wonderful, still active, fishing port. You can also stroll along the beach which is 5 miles long and take part in many of the other leisure activities that are available to you. This is a lovely, tranquil location, ideal for a holiday or stop-over, but if intending to visit during the festival, make sure to enquire with a hotel Hua Hin offers before they are fully booked.”
