DirectRooms.com can confirm that the Gold Coast Titans will be
facing a tough game against the Canberra raiders in April as the two
sides go head to head for an important fixture of the National Rugby
League.
The Titans have never beaten the Raiders on home soil but they’ll be looking to
overcome this statistic when they travel to the Canberra stadium on 2nd April 2011.
Raiders’ player David Shillington will be hoping to keep his team’s winning streak
alive against the visitors and put in a performance in line with last year’s efforts
that saw him crowned the team’s best player. Conversely Luke Bailey and Preston
Campbell from the Titans are set to cause some problems with Campbell described as
one of the league’s most difficult players due to his ability to unlock defences.
The home side will be fielding their best team in order to rise up the league and
build on the finish of seventh overall from the 2010 season, which consisted of 13
victories and a points total of 499.
League games are always popular fixtures with crowds of fans and this is also likely
to mean that more visitors will be checking into Canberra hotels near the stadium after going to watch the match.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: “This is set to be a
tight game and many thousands of fans will be attending to see the outcome. Anyone
visiting the city and needing accommodation should search online where they can find
hotels closest to the stadium.”
