The year’s biggest Swiss rock event - The Greenfield Festival, will be hitting Interlaken over the weekend of 9th to 11th June, and DirectRooms.com is pleased to be able to announce that the popular American rock group Foo Fighters will be headlining at this exciting event.

Foo Fighters will be touring Europe this summer, and to have them appearing at the Greenfield is a great boost for the organizers of the event. The band will be showcasing new material from their latest CD, as well as the hits from their 15-year career. Supported by System of A Down, Foo Fighters will be performing on the first evening of the festival – Thursday 9th June.

Also appearing will be great rock exponents, not by any means limited to Flogging Molly, Disturbed, and Volbeat. Musically there will be something for everyone in the 40 Swiss and international acts.

Not only will there be some great music, the backdrop to the whole Festival will be the spectacular Jungfrau Massif to add to the atmosphere.

The Greenfield Festival will be offering free return travel from any Swiss railway station for fans buying advance tickets, a truly great offer. They also offer free parking for those with their own transport.

There will be a camp on site (free camping is included in the ticket), but for those who prefer to stay somewhere with all the mod cons it’s possible to find a good, reasonably priced hotel in Interlaken.
