Butlins Strikes Gold at Customer Service Awards

The Butlins sparkle has netted a double award win at the
prestigious Customer Service Training Awards 2011. Crowned winners of
the Tourism and Leisure Training Team Award, Butlins also scooped the
Overall Winner Award in the Training Team category, beating companies
across the retail and financial sectors.
The awards celebrate the best practice in Customer Service across the UK. This
year’s judging panel was made up of industry experts who assessed finalists on
creativity, results and both team and personal development.
Butlins has been praised for its Roadmap training, during which all team members
learn about the culture and history of the brand and how Butlins distinguishes
itself from its competitors by offering Sales and Service Superiority.
Instead of using bespoke trainers to conduct these sessions, Butlins Roadmap is
coached by likeminded ‘Navigators’, team members in a multitude of different roles
hailing from all areas of the business.
This bespoke training is provided across all three Butlins beachside resorts, Bognor
Regis, Minehead and Skegness, focusing on Customer Service and how critical this is
to both the team member’s role and their guests at the resorts.

Awards in 2010, along with the UK Customer Experience Award in Travel, Leisure and
