Battersea Park to Host Jubilee Festival

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Battersea Park is joining in the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations with a family-oriented festival, taking place on Sunday June 3rd., the capital's leading hotel and event booking website, is offering special rates on a selection of conveniently located London hotels to coincide with the festival.

The event which kicks off at midday - will feature music, dance, a funfair and a wealth of other entertainment, the centerpiece of which will be a giant flotilla on the boating lake. There will also be a pop-up pub serving drinks until the festival closes at 7pm.

A diamond-encrusted cake stand will be on hand selling more than a thousand royal-themed cakes. A special cake-based portrait of the Queen will be created specially for the festival by luxury bakers Konditor and Cook. There will also be a temporary museum featuring royal memorabilia. The day is being organized by designer Wayne Hemingway and artist Clare Patey. Entry to the festival is free.
