16 new 21st Century Learning Exemplars recognized by the Partnership for 21st Century Learning

Washington, DC, US, 2017-Nov-08 — /EPR Network/ — P21 has designated 16 early learning centers, K12 schools, districts and beyond school programs in the United States as 21st Century Learning Exemplars for 2017-2018.

Each of the following earned this award for its outstanding practices in equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge for success in college, career, and life:

Franklin West Supervisory Union District, Fairfax, VT

Lanier Cluster Schools, Sugar Hill, GA

Beyond School:

Camps Kenwood & Evergreen, Wilmot, NH

Everwood Day Camp, Sharon, MA

The 16 named P21 Exemplars have demonstrated not just an exceptional implementation of the Framework for 21st Century Learning, but also expertise in the elements of: Student Agency; Distributed Leadership; a Climate of Achievement; Engaged Community; and use of Evidence and Research.

“P21’s Exemplar Program was established to find and uplift examples of quality 21st Century Learning. Each year we find unique and innovative education models throughout the US,” said David Ross, P21’s CEO.

As part of celebrating the best practices from these awardees, P21 will develop a case study for each and release it to the public for free download at p21.org/exemplars in the Spring of 2018.
