IBA Bangalore Organizes Seminar on Strategic Management

Bangalore, India, 2018-Sep-17 — /EPR Network/ — As part of its continued efforts to contribute to Indian management thought, Indus Business Academy and Zurich University of Applied Science, in association with SMF (Strategic Management Forum) organized a seminar on New Ideas in Strategic Thinking & Management on 27th August at the IBA, Bangalore campus.

India’s development experience since 1947 has seen transition from Socialist model to LPG (Liberalization, Globalization, Privatization) in 1991 and in 2014 to Holistic and Harmonic Development Approach reflected through the vision, ‘SabkaSaathSabkaVikas’ (Collective development through Collective energy) articulated by Indian Prime Minister, NarendraModi. Accordingly, policy making and strategic thinking has also undergone a transformation. Challenges of the new vision of ‘Harmonic Development’ in the context of ‘inward’ and ‘outward globalization’ require new ideas and new thinking in policy making, strategic thinking and strategic management. Purpose of this Seminar was to deliberate on new thinking and new initiatives in this direction and also discuss research based new models, tools, techniques and mantras originating from India and other nations with respect to strategic thinking and management in the context of Harmonic Development and Management (HDM).

The seminar was attended by Teachers, Scholars and Practitioners of Strategic Management as well as B-school students and all had an invigorating experience discussing and learning about new ideas and perspectives in Management.
