Top 10 Mobile Phones of 2020

SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 9

For several months in previous years, SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 8 has been a leader. However, in the end it was overtaken by the iPhone X, and after that also by the HUAWEI P20 PRO. With the advent of the Galaxy Note 9, Samsung is once again the leader in the market again.

Compared to the Galaxy Note 8, the new Note 9 stands out with S Pen support for Bluetooth, more internal memory, more RAM, an especially large battery capacity of as much as 4,000 mAh, a better rear-view camera with two lenses and smart software, better quality sound and a fingerprint sensor located in a new place.

The latest support for the S Pen, which supports Bluetooth, which has a remote control function, is a great innovation that will appeal to all fans of the Note series. Later, after the compilation of SDK software was released this year, third parties will be able to start creating programs controlled by S Pen, which supports Bluetooth.

SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 9 and further stands out in all the special aspects of Galaxy – such as particularly strong moisture resistance, fast wireless charging, a special Super AMOLED screen, expandable microSD memory, 3.5 mm audio jack and other features. With a large capacity microSD card, you can enjoy more than 1 TB of memory in your hands.

HUAWEI P20 PRO

This phone is by far one of the best phones of 2018.

A special phone with a 68 megapixel camera with 3 lenses ensures that your photos are impressive even when shooting in dimly lit places. In this regard, the P20 Pro is clearly superior to other phones on the market.

Huawei uses batteries with especially high capacity in its flagship phones. P20 Pro is no exception. It has an integrated 4,000 mAh battery, which is definitely enough for at least one day, full of action. A large 6.1-inch OLED screen with a “cut-out” that can be removed, a powerful Kirin 970 processor with integrated artificial intelligence, and IP67 dust and water resistance class are just some of the special features of this phone.

The working environment of the user of Huawei EMUI has become much more advanced. On the main screen you will find the Google bar, and the user account is close to the standard version. Huawei of course offers additional Android features, and it is worth noting that they do not overload the device, but quite the contrary – improve its effect. Each action P20 Pro performs at lightning speed, so using it is a pleasure.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S9 / S9 PLUS

Earlier this year, Samsung released the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus models. These are two more family members of the Galaxy S series, but they are the most advanced phones you can imagine.

Samsung phones with Infinity Display screens always get to the top of the ranks, defeating APPLE IPHONE X, which has been at the highest positions for several months. 6GB RAM, the most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, the main camera with two lenses, the function of especially slow shooting (“super slow motion” – only in the S9 Plus model), the ability to inexpensively expand the memory with microSD cards, an improved Bixby assistant and a physical button, Samsung technology Pay, wireless and fast charging, IP68 dust and water protection, USB-C connection and regular 3.5 mm headphone jack. The phone also has the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. So, Galaxy S9 Plus is provided with absolutely everything to justifiably stay at the very top of the ratings.

Using the S9 Plus, we found several points in which the S9 Plus is superior to the Iphone X. One of them is the action of communication. In the same place, the S9 Plus has a longer connection and is faster than the Iphone X. The S9 Plus uses the newer Qualcomm model than the Iphone X and supports a spectrum of 600 Mhz. In this regard, it is difficult to get around the Galaxy S9 Plus.

APPLE IPHONE X

Apple iPhone X is the most expensive phone on the market. iPhone X is the only iPhone with a new design, starting with the very first phone that appeared 10 years ago. This model stands out with a 5.8-inch screen with a particularly thin frame and no physical home button. In addition, for the first time, iPhone used Samsung OLED screens. Using a phone with two lenses of the main camera is completely different, since it does not have a physical “home” button or a normal on / off button.

Unlocking the iPhone X and using Apple Pay will help not the physical button located at the bottom of the screen, but the advanced face recognition feature. This feature works reliably and significantly outperforms the functionality of the iris sensor on Samsung phones. Finally, Apple introduced the wireless charging function in its phone, so the phone can be conveniently charged by simply placing it on the wireless charging station.

The iPhone X has the new A11 bionic processor and the M11 coprocessor, with which iOS 11 works without freezing. The phone also belongs to the IP67 dust and water resistance class. For the phone to support wireless charging, a glass back cover is used. The 7 megapixel TrueDepth front camera is great for taking selfies.

iPhone X is currently the phone with the most advanced Apple technology, the screen of which allows you to experience a completely new experience – gesture control with great features and a new way to unlock the phone. Compared to other phones with a large screen, this rather compact model has a relatively large screen.

SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 8

For a couple of months, the Galaxy Note 8 was in the top of the rating, because at that time it was the most advanced phone on the market. Note 9 was ahead of him and moved to a lower position, but this did not cross out the capabilities of this model. In addition, after the release of Note 9, this model can be purchased at a lower price.

SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 8 has all the advantages of the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus models, however it uses the Snapdragon 835 processor and no camera with two mechanical diaphragms. This model also has an S Pen, so if you like to use this pen, Note 8 is perfect for you.

I used this phone for a couple of weeks to evaluate it, but then I used the T-Mobile Jump on Demand plan and changed the phone to iPhone X.

HUAWEI MATE 10 PRO

A powerful phone with a particularly long-lasting battery.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro is a phone that may not immediately appear on your wish list, but manufacturers, although belatedly (see where the P20 Pro is located on the list), improved it, and the battery holding time is ahead of almost all phones from this list. If you think it’s time to upgrade, this model definitely deserves attention.

Screen : Full HD screen is the same as in Pixel 2, however it differs from other competitors of Android phones, such as Samsung, Galaxy S9 and Note 8. Screen 10 Pro is very good, but not amazing.

Battery : The biggest advantage of the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is its battery. A single battery charge with an especially large capacity of 4,000 mAh is enough for the phone to impressively work well for up to two days if you use airplane mode at night.

Camera : The main camera with two lenses takes great pictures without any additional settings (the principles of “aim and take pictures”), although if you are an enthusiast and are ready to experience the possibilities of manual adjustment, you can capture frames of exceptional quality with the Mate 10 Pro.

Short rating: This is a phone that does not stand out for its special appearance or better qualities, however, Huawei Mate 10 Pro is an excellent choice for lovers of phones with a large screen and a long holding battery. In addition, this model is becoming more competitive and ahead of quite a few phones from this list.

LG G7 THINQ

If you had to read about the LG G7 THINQ, then you probably noticed that most argue that this model does not stand out in anything that would motivate people to buy it. Honestly, this can be said about most phones, since in the era of smartphones the line has already been reached when manufacturers can offer something new or raise the bar even higher.

Having used this phone for a couple of months, I can say that it is underestimated. Its size is almost perfect, it has a lens with an angle of wide photographing, and its price as a flagship is quite affordable.

Like the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and LG G7 ThinQ, it has everything you can imagine: a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a camera with two lenses (one of them widescreen is a unique case in devices with a dual lens camera), wireless charging, category IP68, a microSD slot that allows you to inexpensively expand the memory, a “cut-out” screen, which occupies almost the entire front of the device, and is characterized by exceptional sound quality.

The LG G7 ThinQ camera contains elements of artificial intelligence that help to get the best quality video recording LG V30, using Cine Video and other functions. A few years ago, LG raised the bar for the cameras used in phones, and the LG G7 ThinQ faster than anyone raised the bar even higher.

In our detailed review, we rated the LG G7 at 7.8 out of 10 points, however, after using this device longer, I can give it 8.5 points without hesitation. The LG G7 ThinQ has a lot of things you can’t help but like, and one of them is the two-year warranty provided by LG and the promise of “constant updates”.

GOOGLE PIXEL 2 XL ir PIXEL 2

The Google Pixel and Pixel 2XL both have the wonderful features that I expected (such as moisture resistance and a smaller screen frame in the XL model), and not so great qualities (such as the lack of a regular 3.5 mm headphone jack). Both phones are excellent, they work with an Android version that is close to the standard one, so if you want to experience what it means to work with the primary version of Android created by Google, then you may like the Pixel 2.

Google Pixel 2 XL has a large 6-inch screen with an 18: 9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB and 128GB of internal memory, 12-megapixel main camera with one lens, IP67 dust and water resistance class, 3520 mAh battery and dual stereo speakers in front of the phone. The Pixel 2 differs from the XL model in only a smaller 5-inch screen and a battery with less capacity. No model supports wireless charging and does not have a regular 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Both phones work with the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, which will be updated for three years. On this phone, you’ll find the latest Google Assistant features along with other benefits of Google software.

ONEPLUS 6

If we were to compile a list of affordable smartphones, OnePlus 6 would be in its first place. The cheapest model with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory. You will not find another such phone with such a ratio of price and specifications.

OnePlus 6 uses a Gorilla Glass 5 screen and a metal frame. The design is elegant, and the quality of the design is simply excellent. It has a 6.28-inch AMOLED screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, a rear camera with two lenses (though comparing them with the flagships located at the top of the rating, they are poorly used), a wide selection of RAM and internal memory, slightly protected from water and dust , have a 3300 mAh battery, support fast charge and stand out for their strong support for GSM networks.

The screen also has a “cut-out”, the phone works flawlessly with the latest version of the OxygenOS operating system. In addition, similar to the iPhone X, you can enable the touch function on this phone.

APPLE IPHONE 8/8 PLUS

The latest Apple iPhone 8/8 Plus does not differ in appearance from the iPhone 7/7 Plus, however, in order to support wireless charging, it has a glass back cover. In addition, the new iPhone phones have an improved processor, a better camera and an LCD screen.

Two stereo speakers provide good sound quality, but the phone does not have a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack. Newer models support fast charging, which charges the battery by 50 percent. in 30 minutes.

You will not find 128GB versions, so look for models with 64GB and 256GB memory.
