Open Yoga Workshop for Slum Children Organized by International Yoga Teacher Trainees

Rishikesh, India, 2020-Jan-3 — /EPR Network/ — Gyan Yoga Breath, a well-known yoga school and educational institution in Rishikesh, is conducting an open yoga workshop for slum children on the 9th of February 2020, 12th March 2020 and 8th April 2020 in Rishikesh India. It is a non-profit initiative of Gyan Yog Breath. This workshop is a great opportunity for children to learn the basic roots of yoga to gain more flexibility and mental stability. This workshop is designed as a yoga educational program to raise awareness of yoga’s health benefits for children. Gyan Yog Breath has started this non-profit initiative in 2015 and organized 50 sessions successfully so far.  More than 250 children participate in this initiative every year. 

Shri Vipin Gyan ji, the founder  of the Gyan Yog Breath has said, “the purpose of this non-profit initiative is to raise the awareness related to yoga practice among children. We encourage our international  yoga students to direct this program as it will be an act of selfless working for people which is the main principle of “Karma Yoga”. It is a practice of learning the root of yoga and acting without thinking of personal benefit.  This non-profit initiative runs alongside the training program, year-long mentoring, other professional workshops and yoga classes each week. We are constantly expanding this program to offer a better support for slum children to learn yoga and a better life to the community. “

Children who participate in the workshop, are likely to experience physical and mental transformation. Apart from yoga training, this workshop educates children to care for their environment, change habits, learn from other cultures, languages and traditions. This workshop increase the positivity and enthusiasm in their life and gives a new direction to their career.
