New C-Level Executives and new visions at Audience Serv

Oliver Schmieder replaces David Pikart as Co-CEO, Ilja de Boer appointed as CRO at Audience Serv. With these changes, the C-Level of Audience Serv GmbH paves the way for the future.

Berlin, Germany, 2022-Nov-30 — /EPR Network/ — After 14 successful years, Audience Serv‘s founder and Co-CEO David Pikart is stepping down and handing over leadership to Oliver Schmieder. In addition, Ilja de Boer is appointed Chief Revenue Officer. With these changes, the C-level now consists of four motivated and future-oriented minds: Daniele Sampaolesi as Co-CEO; Oliver Schmieder as Co-CEO; Carlo Biondo as COO, and Ilja de Boer as CRO.


After a little over fourteen years, founder David Pikart is retiring from the company. Since 2008 he has acted as CEO and later Co-CEO and was primarily responsible for the company’s finance, HR and marketing functions. “Leaving Audience Serv was a big and difficult decision for me. I look back on 14 wonderful years in which we have created a fantastic team and culture. Over the years we have mastered many challenges, worked on new business lines and we were always driven to refine our solutions and find new innovative ones. I am very proud that we have grown organically and steadily into the company we are today. But I think it’s time for a new company chapter that calls for new strategies, new approaches and a new vision. So I am happy to hand over my position to Oliver and I wish Audience Serv nothing but the best for the future”, says David Pikart, founder and former Co-CEO of Audience Serv.

With the changes in top management, Audience Serv is positioning itself strongly for the future in order to prepare for the constantly changing market conditions. The acquisition of Emailbidding by Audience Serv in January 2022 has already laid the foundation for a realignment. Audience Serv aims to take the email marketing industry to the next level with revolutionary, modern and data-driven solutions that enable advertisers to target their ideal audience more accurately, increase their ROI and win new customers.


The new Co-CEO of Audience Serv, Oliver Schmieder, has been working in email marketing since 2012. He has over 10 years of experience in management positions in companies with up to 100 employees, including 4 years in sales management and 6 years as managing director. His commitment as a team leader and his belief in the fruitful collaboration of artificial and human intelligence were key to his appointment as Co-CEO. With all his management experience and his Master of Science in Management & Leadership, he will lead the company into the next chapter and envisage new major projects and strategic focus areas.


There is also another big news: Ilja de Boer has been appointed CRO at Audience Serv. Ilja de Boer has been part of Audience Serv since 2019. Previously, as Senior Vice President Global Sales, he was responsible for the strategic development and implementation of global sales goals. As the new CRO, his tasks will go beyond classic sales. From now on, Ilja will be responsible for all projects and departments that have a direct impact on the company’s sales in order to ensure the continued growth of Audience Serv and its customer tree.
