Website announced hotel discounts to help visitors spend Christmas in London

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Booking, events and information website LondonTown.com has revealed details of special discounts for tourists looking to spend Christmas in London. Central to the city's festive celebrations is the Midnight Mass at St. Paul's Cathedral, the biggest, most impressive service of its kind in the country.

Regarded by many as the UK's spiritual centre, St. Paul's is the perfect place to mark the first Eucharist of Christmas. Alongside the main event the Choir of St. Paul's is the Barbican Brass, filling Sir Christopher Wren's iconic dome with traditional seasonal music including Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols and other Christmas songs. The service kicks off at 11.30pm, and continues on into Christmas morning.

So high is demand for a seat at the service, the cathedral puts on a number of other celebratory events throughout December to help visitors experience Christmas in London. Highlights of the season include La Nativite du Seigneur by Olivier Messiaen and a Christmas Carol Service on December 23rd.

Many of the hotels offered by LondonTown.com for Christmas in London are within walking distance of St. Paul's Cathedral. The Holiday Inn Express London Southwark is less than fifteen minutes walk away, and is offering a 76% discount to guests booking through LondonTown.com. The reduced rate brings the cost of a night's stay in a double room down to £59.

Just as close is the Montcalm at Brewery London City on Chiswell Street. Located some 13 minutes walk from St. Paul's, the luxury hotel is offering double rooms from £59 per night – a 75% discount on the standard rate. Both featured hotels are available exclusively through LondonTown.com.
