New dining complex set in railway arches will open bar and restaurant ten days apart.

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- One of the most anticipated developments in East London's buzzing foodie scene, the Beagle bar and restaurant have finally announced dates for their grand opening. The bar will open doors on Friday 29th March, before giving way to the restaurant on Monday April 8th.

The well-hyped London restaurant, which promises to help restore British food to the upper echelons of global cuisine, has been built into carefully renovated railway arches on Geffrye Street in Shoreditch. Set up by Clancy brothers Kieran and Danny (the latter of whom has been enjoying tremendous critical success with the Bonnie Gull Seafood Shack in Fitzrovia), the Beagle will specialise in seasonal, locally sourced British ingredients.

Head Chef James Ferguson, formerly of Margot Henderson's Rochelle Canteen), plans to change the menu on a daily basis, and use a traditional wood grill for much of his cooking. The adjoining bar will serve the usual selection of cocktails along with British beer and wines by the carafe or bottle.

The jewel in the crown is the Beagle's prime location, with a large south-facing outdoor seating area capable of hosting up to 60 people.

To coincide with the opening, website LondonTown.com has partnered with a number of hotels in the Shoreditch. They've offered discounted rates to anyone planning to visit the new London restaurant on opening weekend (the offers are only available via LondonTown.com, not when booking directly with the hotel).

The Holiday Inn Express London-City on Old Street is offering double and twin rooms from £87, which is a 62% discount on the standard rate. The hotel is less than ten minutes' walk from the Beagle.

Just as close is the RE London Shoreditch Hotel. Situated on Hackney Road, they've announced a 47% discount on accessible double rooms for guests booking via LondonTown.com. The reduction brings the cost of a stay down to just £91 per night.
