The accommodation is basic but all Travelodge hotels have a similar layout, double bed, en-suite bathroom and extras such as Wi-Fi and breakfast available at small additional cost.
This is ideal for anyone who is just looking for a bed for the night, after all most of the time you spend very little time in the hotel room. It is hard to find cheap accommodaton In Edinburgh, the combination of being one of the top places to visit in the UK and also a busy festival season which sees the city mobbed by tourists means that the average room rate is around 100 per night.
So the good news for tourists is that in addition to the 4 budget hotels that the Travelodge already has in Edinburgh there are now 2 more. The even better news is that they are both in prime location in the city centre of Edinburgh.
The Travelodge Queen Street is opposite the popular and lively George Street, only a few minutes walk from Princes Street. The hotel is on Princes Street a few hundred meters from the Balmoral Hotel and in one of the best location in the city.
The rooms at both hotels start from £29, although its rare to find rooms that cheap in peak season. But we did find that if you book early enough then rooms for under£40 are possible. So If you are planning a trip into Edinburgh this summer it might be a good idea to book early and consider the Travelodge for a bargain deal, with rooms available at £40 a night they offer fantastic value for money.
