Dallas, Tx., January 6, 2016 — /EPR NETWORK/ — Pennsylvania native, Brian D’Apice, is bicycling around the perimeter of the continental United States, and is making his way through Dallas, Tx. Through his program, “Bicycle Around America,” D’Apice will pedal around 11,000 miles to raise awareness and funds for two charities: Pencils of Promise and The National Military Family Association. D’Apice has already formally spoken to thousands of people around the country and has raised over $34,000.

Army combat veteran and English teacher to the underprivileged, D’Apice has spent his young life dedicated to supporting our country and helping others. He believes it’s his mission in life to help the less fortunate which is the premise of his charity bicycle ride. This self-supported trip around the perimeter of United States will take approximately one year to complete, with all funds going to support children and families in need in Africa and South East Asia, as well as military families in this country.

The single-consecutive ride began in Rockefeller Plaza, in NYC, on May 4th. He has already touched the first three corners of his ride (Portland ME, Seattle WA, San Diego CA) completing over 8,000 miles to date. He will touch the one more corner (Miami FL) before returning back to Rockefeller Plaza in May, 2016. During this extensive bicycle ride, D’Apice continues to raise awareness for his cause by visiting and speaking in schools, universities, and veteran organizations along his route.

Brian D’Apice, said, “Being in the military as well as an English teacher in South East Asia has given me first-hand experience with less fortunate students who are eager to learn, but don’t have the resources. My goal is to raise funds and awareness about the kids who have far less than we do in America, as well as the military families here in this country. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of thousands of children and families through Bicycle Around America.”

Bicycle Around America is expected to raise $100,000, total, over a course of one year for its two charities. For more information about “Bicycle Around America” or Brian D’Apice, please visit www.BicycleAroundAmerica.com.
