Smart Helmet “Encephalon” to launch this year 2016

Houston, TX, February 8, 2016 — /EPR NETWORK/ — Nand Logic releases a prototype of their multipurpose smart helmet called the “Encephalon” which is set to launch in a crowdfunding campaign this summer. It aims to change the way extreme sports enthusiasts live their sport and will immediately be available for pre-order during the campaign period.

The planned crowdfunding will stick to a target price of around $500 to $800. The Encephalon smart helmet brings wearable technology beyond the world of motorcycles with its creation of features that benefit other sports’ enthusiasts such as those who enjoy longboarding, snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, and cycling.

Encephalon’s multipurpose features make it stand out in the existing smart helmet market. The Encephalon stitches together data from various sensors such as an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, and a pair of microphones to create a clearer picture of its surrounding environment. Then, algorithms running on the onboard multicore SoC communicates pertinent information from that picture to the user and other motorists on the road.
The Encephalon also tracks velocity, location, acceleration, and orientation. It also takes pictures and videos using its front and rear cameras. All of this data is displayed in a manner which allows the user to review it and make improvements or simply relive a special moment in their practice time.

The Encephalon smart helmet introduces new features such as “Intelligent Lighting” that increases visibility and also communicates your intentions to other motorists effectively. Safety is a top priority for the company and with its helmet’s built-in-turn signals and brake lights, it protects motorists by letting others know what the user’s intentions are.

Nand Logic’s smart helmet also focuses on comfort and convenience. The company has taken steps to dampen environmental noise by equipping its helmet with “Intelligent Noise Cancellation,” a groundbreaking feature which eliminates unwanted noise while leaving behind important sounds such as honking horns, voice, and other sounds that motorists uses to orient themselves while in traffic.

Also, “Active Ventilation” monitors temperature and humidity sensors and uses a built-in fan to cool you down if the system detects that you are overheating. To be practical and entertaining at the same time, users can choose to receive and make calls and even play music while in route to their destination.
