EnviroFry Debuts Way To Remove Mold from Carpeting & Padding in USA, Canada, Asia, & Europe

Montrose, MI, 2016-May-18 — /EPR Network/ — Certified Environmental Hygienist Phillip Fry’s firm EnviroFry Upkeep Masters, LLC, has pioneered a moldy carpet mold remediation protocol to remove mold growth effectively from carpeting and underlying padding so that these floor coverings can be saved rather than being thrown away in water-damaged homes and commercial buildings throughout the USA, Canada, China, Singapore, Asia-wide, the United Kingdom, and Europe.

“Until now the standard approach to the presence of mold growth in carpeting and padding has been to remove and replace it, a very expensive undertaking if the carpet is relatively new and of high value,” points out Mr. Fry, who is also a Professional Industrial Hygienist, Certified Environmental Inspector, Certified Remediation Specialist, and webmaster since 1999 of the mold authority website www.moldinspector.com.

Fry’s company can either do the mold removal itself or sell the equipment and produces required for effective carpet mold removal anywhere in the world.

The first and last steps are the vacuuming of the carpeting with a HEPA-vacuum cleaner to suck up as many landed or deposited mold spores, mold colonies, and organic dirt as possible.

The second step is to use a high output ozone gas generator, specially built for use in carpeting and padding, to inject mold and germ-killing ozone gas deep into the top and bottom sides of the carpeting, as well as into the padding beneath it. The carpeting needs to be temporarily removed to allow ozone gas treatment of the bottom of the carpeting and of the padding.

The third step is to spray both sides of the carpeting, as well as well as the padding, with a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency registered fungicide as a second, backup way to kill mold spores, mold colonies, and bacteria.

“This two-step, double killing of harmful microorganisms is really essential when there has been water and mold growth in carpeting, padding, and expensive rugs,” adds Mr. Fry, who is author of five mold advice books.

The fourth step is to spray the carpeting, especially mold growth areas, with a special EPA-registered mold enzyme that dissolves and neutralizes mold growth and mold stains.

The fifth step is to scrub the carpeting with special carpeting scrub brushes to physically dislodge mold growth colonies that have been killed and neutralized by the previous steps.
